The RISA team has a newly published article entitled: Effectiveness of Medical Nutrition Therapy in the Management of Adult Dyslipidemia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Journal of Clinical Lipidology.
This systematic review was conducted in part by the Academy Foundation fellows and examined the effectiveness of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) provided by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist or international equivalent (RDN) for adults with dyslipidemia. In recent randomized controlled trials, moderate certainty evidence described MNT provided by an RDN improved total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels as well as blood pressure in adults with dyslipidemia.
