Clare Hicks, RDN


Clare Hicks, RDN is an Associate Product Manager at Intellihealth, a company focused on the medical management of obesity. Previous work includes seven years at The CBORD Group in Product Management and Software Implementation, as well as six years of clinical practice at Adventist Health. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and her dietetic internship at California State University, Fresno. In 2018 she completed the AMIA 10x10 course at UT Health, focused on healthcare interface design and usability.

Clare spent the last 3 years as a member of the Nutrition Informatics Committee. Areas of interest include accessibility, privacy, human-computer interaction, and design.


Kathleen Pellechia, MS, RDN


Kathleen Pellechia, MS, RDN is Communications Manager, Social Marketing and Communication for FHI 360. She has over 17 years of experience in public health and nutrition, primarily on a nutrition education and training project of the national office of the WIC Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She has managed federal, state, and local nutrition and health communications initiatives – with a strong emphasis on women’s health.

She is the past chair of the Nutrition Informatics Committee, past chair of the Consumer Informatics Workgroup, and a member of the NCPT Advisory Workgroup for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is also the current delegate and past chair of the Women’s Health Dietetic (WH) Practice Group. Kathleen is a registered dietitian nutritionist with a MS in Health Informatics from Northeastern University.

Kathleen’s thoughts on nutrition informatics and dietetic practice: The fusion of technology and nutrition is my area of interest, yet my passion lies in doing work that helps others. I don’t think I could work in nutrition informatics if I didn’t work in a public health setting. I love engaging in dialogue with content experts and IT staff to identify and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions for gathering, curating, and disseminating, data and information that aims to improve policies and practices for nutrition in our communities.

Sharon Solomon

Sharon Solomon, RD


Sharon Solomon, RD, is currently a Senior Director of Food Services for Morrison Community Living in a 500+ bed facility in New York. Her career has been varied and she has lead teams to create strong processes with automation often being the foundation. In addition, she is the past chair of Interoperability and Standards Committee with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Sharon currently serves as the Advisory Chair for the Nutrition Informatics DPG in its first year with AND. Outside of work she is pursuing a Masters in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Innovation, Strategy and Change Management.

Manta_ChristineChristine J. Manta, RD


Christine Manta leads research for the Elektra Labs Atlas platform, which facilitates evaluation and deployment of connected technologies for remote data capture in research and clinical care. At Elektra, Manta lead strategy and operations for sourcing evidence to support that connected technologies are trustworthy and fit-for-purpose. She believes quality nutrition care is fundamental to improving patient outcomes and reducing costs. Understanding the landscape of emerging digital medicine products will be essential for dietitians working in health-related fields in the coming decade Prior to joining Elektra, she supported the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative systematic review of feasibility studies using mobile technologies in clinical research. Manta has worked on research teams at Christiana Care's Value Institute, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, covering a range of focus areas including health services research and malnutrition. There, she led research and evaluation projects across a variety of implementation science and patient safety initiatives, publishing several papers as first author. I am a registered dietitian with a master's in nutrition from University of Pittsburgh and have worked clinically in acute and long term care settings.

Grace Jones is the Solutions Architect for The CBORD Group which means she acts as the technical pre sales subject matter expert for CBORD’s acute and long-term care diet office software. This means she regularly interacts with dietitians in hospitals across the country to make sure CBORD understands their needs for their patient nutrition software and presents technology to meet those needs. Before that, she was on the implementation team training customers how to use Nutrition Service Suite.

Grace received her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northwest Missouri State University.

Sydney Kaufman

Sydney Kaufman, MS, RD, CDN

Nominating Committee Chair

Sydney is a Registered Dietitian at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City where she has worked with both inpatient and outpatient oncology populations, including those on bone marrow transplant, colorectal, thoracic interventional radiology, and lymphoma services. Sydney has her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and is currently working on a certificate in Healthcare Informatics from Kent State University. Her interests lie in optimizing workflow for the clinical dietetics team and assisting patient support services effectively interact with the functions of the EHR. She has worked on many clinical informatics and EHR-centric projects to elevate patient care within the Food and Nutrition Department at MSK. 


Leslye Rauth, MPH, RDN, CDE, LMNT, FAND

Nominating Committee Chair-Elect

Leslye Rauth, MPH, RDN, CDE, FAND is a Clinical Informaticist, currently working with the Indian Health Services of the Great Plains on several projects related to nutrition documentation to improve data quality and patient outcomes. Leslye obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, completed an AP4 dietetic internship at the University of South Dakota, and received a master’s in public health degree in 2012. She is actively involved with the Dietetic Practice Groups (DPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Leslye has served in several elected and appointed board positions including past treasurer, nominating committee chair and professional development chair for the Public Health/Community Nutrition DPG. She is a long-time member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is currently involved with the formation of the Academy’s new Nutrition Informatics’ DPG

Chanika Moses works as a dining dietitian for Chartwells on the Texas A&M campus. She graduated from The University of Houston with a BS in Human Nutrition and Foods in 2003, and from Sam Houston State with an MS in Family and Consumer Science emphases in Nutrition and her dietetic internship in 2004.
