Hello. My name is Virginia (Ginger) Quick and I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Nutritional Sciences Graduate program at Rutgers University. I also am a Registered Dietitian and a current American Dietetic Association, Research in Dietetic Practice Group, and New Jersey Dietetic Association member. Currently, I am in the process of recruiting young adults to take an online Eating Behavior survey that I developed for my dissertation. This research study will help me assess psychographic and demographic characteristics and eating practices of young adults with diet-related chronic health conditions (i.e., Type 1 Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac Disease, Crohn's disease, and Ulcerative Colitis). I would like to advertise the survey through various media outlets in the efforts to have young adults (ages 18-25) participate in the online Eating Behavior survey. As a side note, this research study is already IRB approved through Rutgers University. I was wondering if there is any possibility that this advertisement listed below could be sent through your health professional listservs and/or posted on your website (i.e., Diabetes Care & Education Practice Group) in the efforts to recruit more participants with type 1 diabetes to participate in this important research endeavor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if this is a possibility. I can be reached via email at vquick@rci.rutgers.edu or phone at (908) 507-4879. Message to be advertised: This study will help researchers learn more about the eating behaviors and practices of young adults with diabetes, so if you are a college student with diabetes, please take the time to take this important online survey below.
