Health Care Reform—Write now!
line
DCE members need to ensure that nutrition services are included in the final Health-Reform being considered by Congress.

Now, more than ever, members of Congress need to hear from you. Our message: Health-care reform must include prevention programs that deliver effective, timely nutrition counseling and disease management intervention.

Please send a letter to your Representative and Senators using ADA's Grassroots Manager by clicking on the link below.

DCE Listserv has a new home.
line
On January 15th, we changed listserv providers. If you were a subscriber to the previous listserv you were automatically transferred to the new listserv, BUT, if you want to post to the new listserv, you must change the e-mail address to DCE@mail-list.com.

If you wish to have the Digest option (receiving all the posting for a given day in one
e-mail instead of several), you will need to sign up for that by sending a blank e-mail to DCE-switch@mail-list.com.

Why: Our old listserv provider changed the rules and last November started requiring us to individually pre-approve each message. This was extra work for volunteers and caused a delay in posting of the messages. So now we have moved to a new company that does not require this. The Electronics Communication committee will continue to monitor the listserv but not hold up every message prior to being posted.

New features include
  • easy to manage archives, searchable, grouped into threads
(For those who start their postings “I know this has been discussed in the past…”, the archives are the place to go.)
  • attachments automatically converted into a link so no more being filtered
out and landing in the trash,
  • a simple link to send an email to switch to/from the digest version
  • a simple link to send an email to put your account on hold or vacation
If you are currently not a subscriber, TRY IT…. It was a great resource. Now it’s even better! To join or find out more, see details on the listserv at the DCE website at:
http://www.dce.org/members/resources/listserv.asp and sign in as a member. You will then be taken to the listserv page.
