| The Public Policy Workshop (PPW) 2010 will again be offered as online sessions. The Opening Session will air live at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, March 22, and the subsequent Webinars will convene at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on different days throughout the following 4-6 weeks. These are live, so check your time zone. Each Webinar will offer different insights into how government works and will highlight ADA members who are making a difference. The fee for ADA members will be $19.00 per session for the Opening as well as for each of the other sessions. There is also a group rate of $89 available for the Opening Session. If, at the time of registration for the Opening Session, you also register for any of the other Public Policy Workshop Webinars, a further discount of $19 is awarded. In other words, register for one or more Webinars (in addition to the Opening Session), and the Opening Session is free. This special offer is available only until March 1. For more information and to register go to http://www.eatright.org/HealthProfessionals/content.aspx?id=4294967905. It is advised that DCE members participate in their Affiliate’s plenary sessions for the Opening Session and work through and with their Affiliate Public Policy Coordinators to visit Members of Congress as a constituent. After the sessions are concluded, the DCE Leadership will be identifying which DCE Members attended the PPW 2010. These results will help DCE to formulate a grass-roots list to help further legislative efforts for diabetes. |
