Become a Mentor

Are you a DCE member with more work experience and a desire to help those newer to the practice of diabetes medical nutrition therapy?


If so, become involved with the DCE mentoring program as a mentor! Mentors are always needed.

The DCE mentoring program was initiated in 1996. The goal of the program is to 'match' mentees interested in gaining information with mentors who have more experience and expertise in the same area of interest. Some of the potential topics of discussion for a mentor and mentee may include:

  • Nutrition Counseling
  • Private Practice
  • Becoming a CDE
  • Networking
  • Gestational Diabetes
  • Pump Therapy
  • Cross-training in Diabetes Education

Downloading Instructions

To save:
At the top left, click computer disc icon(far right). A "Save A Copy" menu pops up. Then Save to location you will remember, i.e. desktop, drive E.

Difficulties
If you find you encounter problems downloading the documents try the following options.

1. Ensure that you have the most recent edition of Adobe® Reader®. You can download it on the Adobe site.
2. Restart your computer and then try to download the document again.
